I was going to say the same thing. The BCS NC and the Cotton Bowl might be the only two bowl games I watch this year. Chick-fil-a Bowl might be interesting.

The Detroit Lions play every Thanksgiving because it's tradition. That doesn't mean it's necessarly a good idea. OSU should be the Big 10 champ, but that's a whole other thread to discuss. To me the BCS has made the bowl games as meaningless as pre season games.

Chick-fil-a should be fun, but I don't think it will be close. I heard orange bowl officials were pissed after the bowl selection. FSU couldn't sellout conf. Champ. Game and NIU. I have a feeling they are going to loss money on that one. On another note they really need to do away with automatic bids. If you have 3 or more losses you did not earn a BCS bowl. IMO they should be earned not given.

Yeah... The terrible games this year are more proof that the BCS is pretty turrible at everything. I think it usually gets the #1 and #2 right, but beyond that it's bad.

A conference w/ SIX teams in the top ten is still only allowed two BCS spots by rule? So stupid.

I'm Bein a little facetious just because of how badly they struggled against GT.

This. Put the best teams in the best bowls. After Saturday I'm convinced we can play with anyone. Now we get to whip up on Nebraska. Yay.

    http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2012/james-franklin-voted-notre-dame-4th-behind-3-sec-teams/

It didn’t take long for Vanderbilt coach James Franklin to get the drill about conference pride. In the latest coaches poll which does factor into the BCS formula, Franklin voted Notre Dame 4th – the lowest of any coach. He put the Fighting Irish behind 3 SEC teams.

    Here’s Franklin’s top ten:

    Alabama
    Georgia
    Florida
    Notre Dame
    LSU
    Oregon
    Texas A&M
    South Carolina
    Kansas State
    Florida State

I saw that... Kind of a homer move, but I'd bet on Alabama, Florida or Georgia against ND on a neutral field. I think he was just being honest.

Honestly, I think that's a pretty good top 10. The way I see it, Bama is te best team in the nation, and Georgia is 5 yards behind them.

Anybody can win any given game, this is especially true with a couple months of prep time. IMO, playoffs should only be for the top 8. Let everyone else keep the bowls to generate revenue for the athletic departments as a whole and enjoy another game.

That is if the players can get up for that game. It's hard to get excited for that game after being so close to the NCG.
