Why would you carry weight in your bed if you don't have to?

Oh oops. I answered the question wrong:

Sometimes I have about 20 lbs of dead rabbits.

Sometimes I have about 20 or 30 lbs of dead Walleye or Crappie.

Sometimes I have about 125 lbs of dead whitetail deer.

    There we go!
Does this answer your "DEAD WEIGHT" question better?

I don't carry around weight for now reason so 99% of the time nothing. My wife and I are going on a 5,000 mi. road trip next month then I'll have some gear back there but on a daily basis none.

Yeah....Weight robs power/performance when it's just sitting back there for no reason- High Lift for a truck with a lift kit= the price of doing business....80 random pounds of crap in the bed = Pissing money away.

not to many, love it the way it is
an aluminum truck box with tools in it and the bottom full of a wide assortment of nails and screws from busted up cheap boxes that come from Lowes and home depot. A few semi-non valuable work related things in the bed with a couple of rolled up drop cords in the mix to keep everything from sliding around. certainly over 200 pounds
