    Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
    I notice our trucks have a couple of unused bolt holes in the bottom of the frame on both sides, just behind the front wheel area.

    Why do I see no fabricators using these for either skid or slider mounts? They seem reasonably robust, and in a nice location.

    They do look like a worthy mounting location. Not sure why, personally I dont make bolt on sliders, I do love a nice of bolt on's however.... Most skidplates are narrower at that point so its not really necessary to go that wide at that point when there are other good areas to mount to that still provide adequate protrection and a better material yield and lighter skid.
