My bumper on my 2010 doesn't line up either to the bed. I had no issues with alignment and had it done by a reputable shop once I lifted it. I didn't notice anything other than normal while I crawled under my truck and it drives fine. CarFax stated no accidents when I bought it a few months ago. I would fight it if I were you OP. I bought a used truck so I get why I get but you bought new. Keep fighting to get what you paid for, a brand new vehicle.

id get the frame straightened out and drive it but i can see where your frustration comes from. Thats the same reason why I will never buy another nissan.
I bought a brand new 2008 titan a few years back and it needed body work right off the lot because the doors sagged when opened and there were runs in the clear coat which nissan refused to fix. The real kicker was the 4 radiators that went out in the first 50k miles, because of cheap quality parts. The plastic caps would crack where the were glued and clamped to the metal frame..

Thanks Pugga, I even re-read it and became confused after I read he'd already been through the dispute settlement process. Agree with it or not, I'm guessing he's S.O.L..

If you like I can post the laser diagram. They will not put a new frame on the truck, they will only straigten the original frame. I purchased this Truck in Fresno, California. I was told it possibly was damaged on the delivery truck since it was assembled in Mexico.

There is no Frame swap, only a frame straightening. I am not a Troll. I own my own company and I have young kids. Why would I waste the time.

We've had that issue before. Doesn't matter to me as problems like you describe occur. Additionally, I tended to believe you because you called out specific numbers. Don't let it bother you.

If you get the frame straightend out you will be 100% ok for street driving."if you plan to off road it" hit up one of many CAL. off road fab shops get the rear fully boxed and call it a day. sucks this turned into a david vs goliath issue but luckily there are many ways to almost fix everything on the tacoma

Oooh... I misunderstood. I'd still go with it and see if they'll box in the rear section while they're tinkering with it for your own piece of mind.

Just a word of advice, I hope this all works out for you but you might find out the hard way that fighting with big corporations is a shitty fight. They have a lot more time and money to spend defending themselves than you do. I learned this lesson the hard way a while back and the long and short of it is, it's just not worth it.

But the problem no one seems to address is the devauluation of the Truck due to the frame alignment. I purchase a brand new truck not a used truck.

Will they take it back in trade as a brand new, low miles 2012 truck with no damage?

Yes you did and as Mike said large companies have lawyers on retainer. They are paying them anyways it is no skin off the ass to fight and drag it out costing you $$$$$.

Plus, this is no different than if someone hits you on the open road. Their insurance will pay to have your frame staightened and the damage repaired but good luck getting some additional money because at some point, when you sell it, the accident and repairs shows up in the history and there's nothing you can do about it.

I understand that. That is why I would sue the dealership not the corporation given the size of the pockets. The dealership said that they would buy it back for 24,000. Purchase price of 31,000.

Or just repair what is there, box in the open section and enjoy the truck till it dies at 300K

I honestly don't see how this will devalue the truck... It won't be a salvage title or something that would say it had drastic rebuilding. It's a simple frame straightening and won't effect anything on the truck. If they say they will fix it, have them fix it. Then it is a brand new truck.

I don't see where you are going with this. My truck had a new battery put in within 2 months of it being purchased new (under warranty). Probably should have gotten a new truck.
