It is pretty lame. You shouldn't have to do that. I was talking to the service manager about the radios and he says that a ton of tacoma's come into the dealership each week to replace them. He also said that he doesn't know why they keep turning on and off and that he will just keep replacing them till they work lol. Bunch of crap how the service guys doesn't know anything

I had something like that. I would close the door and something in the bed would rattle. I had to tighten a bolt on one of the braces that holds the fender to the bed.

I agree with this. I have a friend with a TC that says the same thing.

Just replace it with a better aftermarket radio.

Thought Toyota fixed that starting with 2008 models. I once had three 200lbs+ people sitting on my tailgate. The tailgate was fine, the factory leafpacks on the other hand....

Where was yours built? I think mine was built at NUMMI.

Thanks for the infor. I will deff have to check that brace on the fender and see if it loose..

I dont feel like replacing the radio. I shouldn't have too. It should come from the factory working good. Know what I mean.

Nope. Still not fixed. I remember having my dog( She is 50 lbs) and my little cuz( who is 45lbs) and the tail gate would sag and flex and I could hear it creeping lol. Not what you would expect from a new truck.

It was built in texas I think.

I agree. On the other hand though, seems like most factory radios in any make/model act up in one way or an other. I didn't have my factory unit in for more than a month before I bought something better. So I dunno how long it would last.

I've almost traded mine in like a dozen times . No issues with the radio but all kinds of the other issues. Be happy you can still bring it in for warranty . I have to pay for all my parts and do the work myself .
