I put the breaker as close to the battery as I could.. might move it a bit higher up soon to keep water away from it.. but so far so good

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why do you need a breaker as well? Is it just to protect the fuse panel itself from some sort of spike in power from the battery?

Blue Sea Fuse block are only rated at 100amps.

and just like you should fuse all and everything that comes off a + battery terminal, this does the same think. Protects from any arc outs that could maybe happen.

So basically it will protect the wiring from the battery TO the fuse block? I guess I'm confused, because if the panel is rated at 100 amps, you shouldn't ever be putting more than 100amps worth of draw through it in the first place, and if you do the fuses will pop anyway...

I'm not doubting putting it on there at all, I'm just a little confused. I sell blue sea products all day at work and I think it seems a little redundant.

its just peace of mind if maybe the block melted and contacted or the main cable got frayed.

You mean harbor freight pipe bender or tube kinker as its more commonly known. There is a difference between pipe and tube, pipe is used for fences and exhaust

Yup! That thing is a piece of shit.
Unless you feel like filling every tube you bend up with sand first, buy something else.
