Limited Slip differential tension

Hello all, I know this subject has been beaten to death, but my searches have not revealed an answer for me. My 05 Taco has a mechanical LSD rear end, and it even has the LSD sticker. My question to you guys(and girls) is, when the back wheels are off the ground, can you still spin one wheel and have the opposite side spin the other direction? Has anyone tried forcing it?

I'm asking this because with moderate force, I can get the wheel to spin. If I place the trans in neutral, turning one rear wheel will spin the drive shaft like its supposed to. I'm just wondering how "tight" this lsd is supposed to be, or is it supposed to get tighter under the torque during driving and slippage?

If you put torque wrench on lug nut it should take around 150 ft-lb + to turn wheels. in opposite directions.

 

Thanks for the reply. Where did you come up with this figure? It is probably right on because by the time the leverage from my arms are turning the outside of the wheels, it probably equates to 150 ft lbs on the lug nut.
