A tiny bit of faith in this world has been restored by the outcome. Congrats! Just make sure to scrutinize the hell out of this one before leaving with it. Have them do a walkaround check with you, use all the features, test drive it at all legal speeds, go over it with a microscope, lol. I'm sure you will though after all this, right? Enjoy the newer than new ride........

I agree. I'm pretty cynical though.

Yea I know. I was talking about the timing as in it's been 8 months of nothing, then all of a sudden this sort of outcome he is claiming not even 12 hrs after starting the thread.

Glad it worked out for you. I respect everyones opinion on here, but if it was my truck that I planned to buy and saved for years and then financed for several years after I would be furious. I would be doing my best to get it replaced with another truck like it from the lot. These trucks go for almost 40k up here and for that kind of cash I would not accept beeing stuck with one with a bent/fixed frame when there are 20 more new trucks just like mine on the same lot right next to it with a straight frame. If I buy anything new that is not in proper condition it should either be discounted accordingly and buyer informed or replaced with a new product without a defect.

Also a battery that can be bought anywhere and replaced in five minutes in a parking lot does not quite compare to a bent frame imo.

I'd have them fix it and then ask for an extended warranty on the frame. If they are convinced that the fix is proper, they should have no problem backing it up.

You could also take them to small claims court and ask for remuneration for the cost to fix the frame and box it in to ensure its integrity (get a quote and take a receipt).

    Good luck.

As the manager of Michael Toyota, the store in this thread, I can tell you it is all factual. The truck's frame was bent and it was a matter of customer service, not a legal question. He saved up his money and paid for something he didn't recieve. When corporate didn't give the answer the OP wanted, we understood where he was coming from and decided to step up. Glad to work for my owner and genuinely happy we decided to do it.
