Friends in Nederland were posting pics of snow. Then not so much so. Other friend in Salida just posts pictures of his dirt bike on all the trails-snow at higher elevation but not a whole lot :(

So I got a nail in the side of my tire a few nights ago...

Just so happens that the General Grabbers are still on some bullshit national backorder. Now I don't know if I should just throw a mismatched tire on there, and wait until I can buy another grabber - or if I should sell off the grabbers and buy a new set of 4.

    Decisions decisions.

Wait...so you're getting a new set of tires because of a nail? Is there something I'm missing? Can't you just get it plugged or does that not work because it's in the side of your tire (and by side I'm assuming sidewall)?
I got a broken razor blade in my tire a few years ago and discount tire plugged it for free...

It's right up where the sidewall and tread meets, I went to 2 tire shops and both said it wasn't repairable.

Ok, yeah I can see how that could not be safely repaired.
That sucks, though! Of all the places to get a nail stuck in your tire...
You could always get two mismatched tires and have the front mismatched from the rear, but that could be pretty expensive.
I guess, given the two options that you have specified, it depends on how much you like the grabbers. If they work well for you, then wait (unless you have to use your truck) and if you think you could upgrade, then get a new set of a different tire.

Go get a tire plug kit from the auto parts store and do it yourself. I bet I could plug it:cool:

This is the one I have, Blackjack Heavy duty tire repair kit.

Jake look for some on Craigslist and TW B/S/T. I have found my last three sets of tires that way. Brand new for around 700.
