    HI I HAVE A 2002 TOYOTA TACOMA V/6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND SEEMS TO WORK FINE /EXCEPT WHEN TURNING A CURVE AT 10-15 MILRS PER HR.IT SEEMS TO D-SHIFT AND FOR A SECOND OR TWO SEENS TO BE OUT OF GEAR IS THIS NORMAL. SMOOTH60

    How long has it been since the fluid got changed? You might try that first...if it doesn't help have the dealer check it out.

    I HAVE HAD THE TRANNY FLUSHED AND A ENGINE CONTROL MODLE INSTALLED TIMING CHAIN WATER PUMP AND BRAKES IS THERE A ADJUSTMENT FOR THE ENGINE CONTROL MODILE 97000 MILES WHEN WORK DONE ALL WORK DONE BY FLORIDA TOYOTA DEALER .. TRUCK WAS WORKING WHEN CARRIED IN .DEALER HAD TROUBLE WITH IT SHIFTING AND RETURED IT A DAY LATER HE HAD TO CALL TOYOTA TECHNICAL FOR HELP AND THINKING THERE IS SOMETHING HE DID NOT DO HE WAS VERY NICE WITH A RENTAL CAR FOR ME. I DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM WHEN RETURNING HOME .IT SEEMS TO WORK FINE OTHERWISE . THANKS SMOOTH 60

    i have a 2008 tacoma v6 6spd auto tranny, i ws wondering if someone can help me when my truck is warm starting from a light shifting from 1 to second seems to be a little hard the rest of the gears are so smooth. just wanted to know is that common on the tacomas i am going to get the tranny serviced to see if it helps, any info would be great am i looking at a new tranny or is this just common

    According to your original post , you are turning a corner when the problem occurs . This usually means the trans is low on fluid . Why - because the trans fluid moves to one side of the transmission pan and the filter cant pick up fluid to keep the hydraulics stable.
    If the transmission seems to be falling into neutral or falling out of gear , the first thing that comes to mind is low transmission fluid .
    . Check the transmission fluid in park with the engine and transmission warm and get back to us . There may be other possibilties but a fluid level check is the first place to start

    Mine does the exact thing as originally posted. My truck was at toyota 2 weeks ago and they said my fluid level is fine and is good in color.

    I bet OP's does it when he is slowing to a stop and then the light will change to green and he is at 15 mph as well as when he is turning. Mine does that too. My 97 land cruiser did it and so did my 94 toyota pickup
