What sort of .22 ammo would I want to shoot through my ar with the 22 conversion bolt?...also is it harmful to shoot .22 through it? (I guess that should be my first question)

With my 15-22, not a conversion but dedicated, I just had to try out 100rnd boxes of stuff to see what worked best. I hear it is the same with most any .22lr including conversions. Even stuff that worked great in other peoples 15-22 worked shitty in mine. Pretty much any CCI is quality.

Don't shoot too much .22 without some .223 through there to help keep the gas tube from getting fouled up so bad with the conversion kit.

If you're shooting a dedicated .22 upper, you don't have to worry about it. (besides, you get the right twist so the .22LR don't go ape.)

I shoot CCI Minimag with everything here, no problems.

x2 on what he just said.

CCI is some of the best quality .22 ammo out there IMO.

Ok, I read that too about the gas tube..going to the range tonight and I'd rather shoot .22 to save some cash and shoot the .223 when I go out to the desert. I'll make sure to shoot some 223 through too to push out fouling from the gas tube. This is the .22 ammo I bought

Yep, that is a nice piece. REPR has a similar rail.

Unfortunately you cannot buy it separate because it takes a special barrel nut that is unobtanium. If you keep your eyes open youcan find an SPR for a good price. My buddy got a used SPR with a ACOG, soft case, 1500 rounds of federal 5.56 for $2600.

Don't put pipe cleaners in the gas tube unless you're a 19 year old kid in boot camp cleaning to teach you a lesson, not weapons maintenance.

So I gave up on the cantilever mount for my scope. I have wanted a quad rail handguard since I bought the thing last year, so I decided to order one and just mount the scope farther forward to get it out of the way of the charging handle.

First question: Does anyone see a problem with this?

Second, I started disassembling it tonight to get prepare to do the swap. I took the plastic handguard off, removed the flash hider, gas block and gas tube. I noticed an ever so slight amount of corrosion on the tip of the barrel. Not rust, but that kind of greenish/white corrosion. Second question: I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow; but until then, does anyone know why this would happen? I clean after every use, granted I've never removed the flash hider before. Third question: should I start removing such parts to clean after each use?

Its never been used in wet or damp conditions, and it is stored in a gun safe with countless silica gel packets to absorb moisture. What gives

Cobra cb and 3' cb antennas, headache rack, bed rails, blacked out logos. Goodyear wrangler tires. Second gen Tailgate badge. Hella 500 series black magic lights and 500 series lights on top, led brake and turn lights on my headache rack. Custom Bumpers i built myself.
Ended up buying the Bushmaster M4 MOE AR through centerfireguns.com and from the day i got it to the first pic i added the Vortex red/green dot sight, the bottom rail that the foregrip is attached too and some new mags.
After the past gun show in San Antone i picked up a quadrail and the Magpul rail covers in the flat dark earth to match the rest of the AR. I then transfered the foregrip over and have the Magpul foregrip on standby incase i wanna switch back.

I was planning to get an AR-15 but a AR-10 seems beastly. Anyone has a Sig Sauer 716 (7.62/.308)? Thoughts?
I've been searching through YouTube and a guy named MrWallybutler seem to be the only guy with problems with Sigs. Also he spammed a lot of videos about it. WTF?!?
