this is probably a stupid question :crapstorm::help:
but ive been searching all day and couldnt find anything.
does anyone have this setup? sorry if the pics are terrible..

but anyways im mainly asking about the strut that is mounted outside not the coilover itself.. the strut on the outside mounts to the spindle im guessing

well the real question is im having positive camber and my cams are maxed out already and from what ive been reading is people upgraded their UCA's to LR, cambridge and what not. but from looking at my setup i dont see an UCA... so what do i do to correct this issue??:notsure:

    oh and the truck is a 96 tacoma 4x4 5spd with a 6in lift.

    any help would be appreciated

    you have a trailmaster lift

a few people are running it, but they stopped making them awhile back; there was a metric fuckton of problems with it

I have absolutely no advice or experience with that setup, so bump for you

lol you have a macpherson type strut conversion kit I'd ditch it and go with something else and get your UCAs back

OP, any way you'd be able to change your suspension? those trailmaster lifts are...not the best

the secondary struts are known to break, and they don't make replacements anymore

thanks for the quick responsed guys!! well i got the truck for fairly cheap not to long ago and invest over 3 grand already in fixing up other things not thinking that the suspension was crap!
what would be my options to fixing my positive camber? or is ditching the whole setup the only way?

I BELIEVE that that upright bolts to the factory knuckle but I may be wrong. If it can be separated all you would need to do is to remove that towering spacer life, the upright strut, and mounting bucket and install a new UCA.

Does indeed bolt to your factor knuckle... the problem is now you have a 6" drop bracket. You may have to remove everything and either have the factory shit welded back in or purchase a more reputable drop bracket kit.

You may just be able to purchase fabtech spindles/knuckles and then some UCAs.

That's what I'd try I think. New UCAs and fabtech spindles. Or even someones stock UCAs.

Thanks!! All I want is to get my alignment in specs because I have positive camber. I'll try searching more on those spindles and ucas. I wish I new more about trailmaster lifts before I bought this truck but live and learn... I'll make it work somehow until I'm ready to upgrade to a better lift..

I think all you need to do is to make sure your coilover assy with that spacer is the same length of the fabtech shock setup, get some fabtech spindles, and then get some stock UCAs or aftermarket and remove that strut crap.

If you keep it the 6" level you shouldn't have any problem getting back to specs. You may even be able to back off the coil overs you have now and get rid of your positive camber.

I'm pretty sure I already have fabtech coilovers.. Well it says fabtech 2300 on the spring..but anyways the other option was to do the inversion mod but would that even correct my alignment issue?

After pricing everything out the spindles an UCAs I'm looking at over a grand with shipping to Hawaii.. With that price I'd be happier just getting a whole new set up or even sas. But I'm moving in a few months and I already put in a good amount of money for owning it for less than 2 months... What about doing the inversion mod and putting a spacer on the top mount?

I feel kinda stupid now... For some reason I decided to check how many inches my tire was from my fenders and to my surprise the back was 12 and my front was 13... So I'm gonna level it out todau and take the truck to get realigned. Hopefully everything works out..
