    It probably has the spider gears welded so it's always locked. Not necessarily illegal I don't think but definitely not road worthy.

    The razr, evo lte, optimus G are a few off the top of my head that are the new big ones. Samsung is pretty much the only one who kept removable batteries.

    Not off-hand... but when I welded on my 1/4" shock mounts, I had it on the maximum setting for my 125 Lincoln using .035 fluxcore. Basically, I set it for 1/8" steel. I'm by no means an excellent fabricator, but my welds haven't failed yet... Seemed to get fine penetration.

    I agree with Scott, though, try PMing Jerry (Jlee). Fabrication is his trade, and he has welded on his axle.
