I don't know if it has been said yet, if so I'm gonna say it again.

I WANT A DAMN PUSH START!!!

I am tired of having to dig for my keys when I get ready to jump in the truck. It would just make life soooo much easier. I mean I know that Toyota puts them in some of their cars. Why are they punishing the taco owners by depriving us of this simple yet very effective little gadget? That is all. :D

same here...my girlfriends car has it...its awesome.
    Im looking into this:

    http://www.advancedkeys.com/Prod_AK104B.html

$350 for the OEM push button kit that includes auto locking doors, proximity & auto start.

not bad for all those features...

Man, after reading through this thread, I'm convinced many here would rather have a luxury sedan instead of a pickup truck. Of course, a luxury sedan is appropriate since, with everything mentioned in this thread...

    - heated/cooled leather seats
    - electronic seat controls
    - keypad entry
    - push-button start
    - power sunroof
    - dedicated iPhone & iPad holders
    - fancier wheels (various options)
    - different tires (various options)
    - supercharged V8
    - supercharged diesel
    - Ford's Ecoboost V6
    - water-sealed electronics
    - USB outlets in rear & bed
    - AC outlet in cab
    - electric rear window
    - - and much more

...added, this pickup truck would probably cost closer to a $100k luxury sedan.

So what's wrong with having all the features every other vehicle Toyota makes in the Tacoma? I think they are missing the boat on power leather seats, alot of people would buy it.

Because it's a moderately-priced truck, not "every other vehicle" made by Toyota. Using your example, who wants mud & water (off-roading or work outdoors) on expensive leather seats? Adding each of those other things (evidently just as desirable to those individuals as leather seats are to you) would add significantly to the price. Who would buy the Tacoma then?

Toyota was able to add those things to other vehicles because those vehicles don't have expensive 4wd, the greater towing capacity, and so on. In other words, to keep price under control, features offered in each vehicle are a trade off - something for something.

Got rid of the Dungflops. Lift to come.
I don't care about all the little trinkets like heated/power seats, or sliding rear windows, but I sure wish my T/O bearing didn't sounds like a meth'd out hampster. Also, how are some of you getting such killer gas mileage? I get 20 on a GREAT day.

x2. with all that stuff the price just goes up. also more stuff that can go wrong and for stuff for people to bitch about it messing up. if you want a luxury truck go get a Lincoln or catdy. the only real thing i would not mind is heated mirrors. but thats all. i don’t car for power seats, i don’t adjust my seat much at all.(only when someone els drives it like dad or my brother.

a similarly priced F150 can come with most of this stuff, i expect if i am paying over 30k for a truck it should come with all the latest and greatest stuff. the reason i went with the tacoma over the F150 is the reliability and resale, you cant get that in a ford.

also guys, some of the stuff you want. they offer in the tundra. you can’t go around comparing the taco to an F150. they are not even in the same glass of truck.

I noticed all this stuff keeps popping up as well. Seems like the majority of gripes are coming from desired luxuries. I personally didn't want $70k+ 2013 Landcruiser features in my Tacoma. I understand a few things though, such as leather seats, but the other things have me stumped. Did people buy a truck or a luxury sports car?

The basics, 5100s, 885s, weathertechs, Desert racing UCAs, wheelers progressive 3 leaf, icon rears, welded in magnaflow, ultragauge, drop in filter, bet mat, 285/75/16s
Only thing I can think of is after washing it how much water sits in the window wells that slowly drips down. But an air compressor fixes that when I have it out

Are you referring to the thud that sounds like a loose unopened can of cola slamming the passenger side?

Which is exactly why I did not get the access cab, other wise I would had been all over it. I also have heard that the access cabs are noisier then double cabs.. More the reason why I got the double :D

I hate the seat position for the driver. It is too high for me. I have the mirror bracket and it helps, but the mirror still blocks the view. I find myself slouching in the seat so I can have an unobstructed view. It gives me a backache after a while. If I could lower the seat 1 inch it would solve the problem I think. I am not that tall, about 6'2. I had the bench in my 05 Tacoma, it was fine. This is really the first vehicle I have ever owned that had this problem.
