    I'm not either. I've been a LT fanboy from day one. LOVE the look of the wide stance and love the performance of it. Wy I'm gonna do it :D but I don't think leafs are that big a limiting factor.

    Actually even tacomas aren't a great platform for real chase trucks. Frame isn't super beef. Needs a lot of reinforcement for it and like you said, lacking power.

    And I disagreed I think rear leafs can flex great. As Brady pointed out Silas setup is great and so is Jason's. he'll even mine flexes pretty good. Just have to set it up right.

    And I also think that with a crawl box you can have a ton of success with ifs. S,e guy I just read has LT and crawl box with locker and has yet to break an axle(gives me hope! Haha). It's all on the driver and application of the two I think.

    Agree about not needing a ton of power. But if you look at some big crawlers..all they have are turned 22res haha

    Also I think with full sized axles you can get around the fact you can stuff big tires..just without fenders :eek:

    You bet I am. From what I have read you have to really take your time as to not cause warping of the frame from the heat. Other then that. Easy money.

    But I think as long as he spends a couple days working on heavy vert up welds it shouldn't be too bad. It's not like the frame is thin so he won't be blowing holes through it.

    lol Too much heat can effect the temper of the metal too, so have to be careful.

    Very good to hear. If you don't mind, I'll bring my set of Mercer Fab plates with me this summer when I come over. Maybe I can convince you to weld them onto my frame for me. :D

    It is most defiantly. And with all the weight I have now I'm getting concerned. I do plan on boxing it too she I relocate the rear shocks. But that's a ways down the road.

    And I don't see it being a problem if we have a good full day or so
