True, but not dumb in this case, there is little to no preload on spring I could almost push down hard enough to get a nut on the stem, just needed a somewhat stable anchor point to nudge it up with jack is all, 5100's are set at zero

 

anybody heard of duraflex fenders? they're $334 on ebay

 

Yes I have, they look like tough fenders but I was looking at them to replace my body kit for my car so I don't know first hand yet.

 

i googled them and it's a mix of fiberglass and (polymer?) but it seems not a lot of people have tried them.

on a side note, my engine is now smelling funny (not sure what it smells like) and it's burning oils bad enough that i can see coming out of the exhaust when he gets revve'd.
i did find a reman'd 3.4 in ontario for $2,000 now to find tranny, ecu, dash, and rear diff with locker.

 

pros and cons of going to a 97 or later motor/ ecu?
pro could add a supercharger later
cons? more work?

 

Anyone going a anywhere this weekend or day trip? Desert running.

 

Everything is a pro about it. cons, is it worth the tons of time and money to get it done?

 

Talk to Jason (speed freak) he's pretty rounded in the super/turbo charger area, as far as lockers go, are you trying to integrate a 'yota E-locker or looking for locker in general ??

 

i need to consult with him so i can get a list to get a estimated price.
as for a locker i read somewhere on here that if i get a TRD rear diff all i do is swap out the hubs and (shafts?) and i get a locker and keep my 5 luggedness.

alex, the rear track width on your truck is 82'' and the front is 85'', could the front track width be taken down to 82''?our trailer is 83'' wide.

No way, a V8 will be worth it in the long run, otherwise slap a turbo on the 2rz and boost 16lbs all day.
