Where are dealers providing a 20 year/200,000 mile warranty on all of their Toyota vehicles? I have never heard of this kind of warranty and wonder what is covered and not covered. Doesn't quite seem legit to me.

    Can someone explain this?

Yea, he must be talking that the price of the truck itself was $30k or he traded something in.

    Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's crazy, that finance manager is probably getting blown by the owner as we speak. I would cancel and get your money back if I were you. :puke:

$650 covered all of the mechanics of the vehicle. Toyota Platinum Warranty.

Call Theresa at Acton Toyota in Mass. They run $50 or $100 coupons every now and then.

    http://warranty.actontoyota.com

    I was a 6yr/100k $0 deductible.

A platinum warrenty for 1800 is avg and not at all out of line. It covers your trucks mechanics. The rest.. the maint warrenty.. the paint.. the tires .. all the rest is just junk.

An extended warranty on your truck will cost more than 650 as a few have implyed.. I see 1600 - 1800 all the time. But the rest of that is fluff and you need your money back.

" getting blown by the owner" lol... I bet he is !!!

    Way too much.

Calculate how many miles you expect to drive in a year and figure out what kind of warranty you may actually need.

I got extended pre-paid maintenance for 84,000mi and I only paid like $300. Keep in mind this is for a 2.7L that requires synthetic which runs around $70/change.

It might not be out of line, but if you do a little shopping then you can save yourself some serious money. A 8yr100k for less then $1000! Ask your finance manager what he would charge your customer for the same warranty with 0 deductible? I bet it's at least $2k

I can send you a picture message of my receipt for $650 if you'd like ;)

I agree, the rest is junk. I don't see anywhere that he bought an actual mechanical warranty?

We gotta contact TFS monday morning but like 1295.00 is going back to my loan since i put it on my loan. So I am pleased.

They almost got me for the maintenance warranty, good thing it doesn't really do anything major that I can't do myself.

Nice. So I assume you're getting longer coverage out of this new warranty since it is only a few hundred cheaper?

    Here ya go.
"This warranty duplicates the factory powertrain warranty for 20-years/200,000-miles and is included on every new Toyota..."
    http://toyota.royalmoore.com/20-years-200000-miles.aspx

There is also another dealer just down the road from these guys that do a 10-year/100,000-mile with every new Toyota they sell but you have to get the work done at their service center. With Royal Moore (20 year/200,000 mile) you can take your Toyota to any ASE-Certified mechanic.
