    Yeah, and here I was worried they might give me crap because I didn't bother putting my mud flaps back in this time. This shit has too much "play" so they say. It's attached ain't it? Then it should be fine. The kicker on the TRE is the boot that's been ripped for almost two years was suddenly a problem. :rolleyes:

    Depends on the garage you take it to. I work as an inspection technician and if ball joints have more than a certain amount of play they fail. Tie rod ends on the other hand are supposed to fail if the boot is torn or there is any play in it.

    Guess they went nice on me last year then. The boot on the tie rod was definitely torn for the last inspection. They said there's no grease left and it has play so it needs to be replaced to pass. The ball joints they said were close but not bad enough to fail but likely will be by next year.

    After looking up how to replace the tie rod I should have just replaced the boot when it tore, looks pretty easy. Guess I might as well order the ball joints now too and replace them sometime in the near future.

    so im getting electronic feed back into my cb. would this be caused by a bad ground? if i hit my brakes or turn on my wipers it feeds a signal to the cb

    definitely bad ground. ill have to make better contact point between the mount and the door.

    plus i havent killed that many hookers in the fj so it cant be to haunted:cool:

    yeah everything was thought out and when i ran the wire i literally dont have more then half and inch left over for slack. i figured i didnt get enought paint off to get a good ground.
