2012 NCAA Football Thread

No a lot of folks in the big ten area think the SEC schools need to play some bowl games up north so those guys can see what its like to get hit hard on a cold day. They feel the sec has an advanatge since they are used to the warmer weather..I don't really think that though. I know the Irish can play wherever they are.

 

The only bowl games up north are shitty or indoors. I'm sorry the SEC isn't bad enough to make it to the Idaho Potato Bowl.

No one want's to play bowl games up north. That's why there aren't any!

And let's see how these guys up north handle the heat and humidity we have down here. It works both ways.

I agree...I think the heat and humidity would be worse to deal with... but...They don't play very many bowl games in cold climates

 

This. And it is a good thing they don't. Cold and snow is over rated. No sane person would rather sit around for 3 hours outside in the snow and cold when they could be enjoying nicer climates.

The whole point of a bowl game is to go somewhere fun. It's a reward for a long, hard season. 12 degrees and 2 feet of snow doesn't sound like a reward to me

 

That and the threat of inclement weather which could interfere with travel.
