Not to start a huge argument but because its been over a year and a half since I joined the Orlando VA and I still haven't gotten in to see my primary care provider, I tried to make an appointment with a local doctor. That way I don't have to wait months just to get checked out. Jess wanted me to have her doctor, unfortunately they're no longer accepting medicare patients  So no I have to play doctor roulette and hope I pick a good one :(

I just saw that. I really want to make that one, but I dont have a schedule for EVAC yet, but hopefully I can get it off.

I was pretty bummed I missed the last one, and my girl was pretty bummed too.

Citrus is too fun to miss again.

first thing to look at is speciffically where it's rubbing. if you're rubbing frame, hockey pucks (body lift of any sort) won't help. second, if you were to body lift for any reason, there is a lot more involved than just spacing up the front. for the truck to stay decent looking, you have to lift the cab, lift the bed, extend the steering shaft, etc......

The amount of lift you have (with the exception of long travel and drop brackets) has nothing to do with tires rubbing.

so lets move onto the two problem areas for tire rubbing. first area of concern is the frame. if you're rubbing frame, you need to trim back your cab mounts, and prefferably replate them. it's a half day operation with an angle grinder and welder. I know you said it was plastic rubbing, but frame rubbing can sound almost identicle, so chack your frame for worn or "polished" looking paint.

if it's plastic, it's probably rubbing on the rear of the fender flare. you usually have to have 33s or larger to rub on the front plastic. I know you said you don't want to trip, because it's a new truck, but trimming now saves a ton of hassle later. best case scenario without trimming, is that the tire wears the paint off of the inner flare, to the point that you might as well snip that part off anyway. worst case scenario by not trimming, is that your tire catches the plastic just right, and tears your fender flare and inner fender liner right out. and that's not fun (can be pricey too).

there is one more solution, that is much less talked about, probably because of it's cost and more technical aspects. the magic word is castor. castor is the vertical angle difference between the outer pivot on your upper and lower control arm. positive castor leans the spindle backwards. on a truck withought an adjustable upper control arms like light racing and icon, the lower control arm is the castor adjuster. this means that the higher the castor is, the further the tire sits from the area you are rubbing. if you just so happen to need an alignment, you can have them shoot for higher the castor, the farther the wheel sits from rubbing areas. great optio if you need an alignment, but if you don't need one, that's where it becomse the expensive option.

    my recomendation:
    -find rub area
    -trim as needed

even if you do need to trim the fenders, you'll be the only one who knows they are trimmed, and that will only be because you are looking for it. and lets be honest, it's better than hitting a big speedbump and seeing your fender flare in the rear view.......
