The context was, at the time he wasn't raking in big bucks from the US economy.

As much as I hate Michael Moore, at least he hasn't changed his tune based on the source of his fortune.

Don't know why so many play into the worthless garbage that comes out today. People are dense for enjoying that idiotic rap in the first place.

It's no secret that people are jealous of success.

Look what it did for Hitler.
He took all of the economic problems of Germany and successfully blamed it on the Jews.

The same thing happens here. People hate successful companies, and successful people because they are jealous of their success.
People in the US who are the worst-off are living like the wealthy compared to the majority of people living in some countries.

    Absolutely.

Americans have been living in ignorance for the last 20+ years.

We had 10 years of hyper-prosperity, driven by the false economy of the Dot-Com bubble. Online trading took financial management out of the hands of the MBA and put it into the hands of people lacking the most basic of economic principles. They began trading stocks as if they were commodities. Companies with annual sales of less than a million had a paper value of tens of millions, simply because they were "hot".

The Dot-Com bubble burst, and the real estate market softened the blow.

Meanwhile, all of this "prosperity" was driven by easy credit. Interest rates were high enough to forestall inflation and hold it at levels commensurate with 50% of the (false) economic growth that we were experiencing.

But it was all smoke and mirrors, driven by credit and "paper profit" that had nothing to support it.

Government's solution was to pour trillions into the economy to support it and "soften" the blow.
Unemployment numbers are deflated by "loose" policies on removing numbers under the assumption that they have "given up looking" as soon as their EDD benefits run out. This boosts consumer confidence... to a degree.

The problem is, the cat's out of the bag and we are in a global economy. We can't go back.
The world is going to be a very different place in 50 years.

I think there is a difference between hating a nation and wishing death on it's innocent civilians.

This song, as far as I'm aware, was written after the Yangju highway incident, in which an American military armoured car ran over and killed two Korean schoolgirls on its way to a training ground.
The way the American military presence worked then judicially is that South Korea does not have jurisdiction over American soldiers operating in South Korea while on official duties; police can't even arrest them. This right has been waived to the American military judiciary system.
The South Korean government requested that this case be transferred to the South Korean judicial system since it occurred outside of a military base and in the general public area. This request was denied.
The entire thing got a ton of media exposure in South Korea and brought tensions over the US military presence to a boiling point.
The American court martial acquitted them of negligent homicide for killing the girls and no punishment was given. All of this happened around the time of a presidential election, which only made things worse because of the politicians rabble-rousing.
Things came to a head and massive protests took place throughout the country, many of which led to people firebombing military bases. Ever since then there's been a pretty scathing hatred of the US military presence in South Korea, leading to songs like this. Additionally, this song was a collaboration by a bunch of artists and celebrities, as well as a famous Korean songwriter known for this type of heavily political music.
I'm not saying that any of this makes the lyrics acceptable, but I think it's important that people know the context of the song and the social climate surrounding it. There's a lot of anger pointed towards the US military in Korea.
EDIT: The really fucked up thing is that after this happened, the American military issued several apologies and I believe officials even visited the families of the two children. The soldiers involved were acquitted regardless.

Why not? Should we police the world? As Americans should we pay for the defense of the entire globe? Should we remain and protect countries where the local populace hate us and want us to leave? Ask yourself these questions.
