What length bolts did you use?

 

To go through rubber, 1-1/2"

 

Roof and light mounts are done, ready for paint and lights

 

How did you bring your wiring into the cab?

 

Left one front bolt out and ran through that hole.

 

Here it is, finished! I'll be adding lights in a few weeks, after that SLIDERS!!!

 

Did you use EMT for that rack? Looks good! How much weight do you think it will hold?

 

1" EMT for the perimeter hoops and 3/4" for the floor, I'm 200lbs and I stood in it just fine before putting it on the truck, I'm not planing on putting much weight in it, it will be used to mount lights, shovel, axe, and a hi-lift jack

Thanks, not much equipment hole saw, grinder, welder, I'm an electrician so the EMT bender is something I have available from work

 

Looks good! I ran my wires through the center hole, and down the B-pillar. Just another option for you.

I used EMT as well, terrible stuff to weld on... How did you paint?

 

I just sprayed it with rubberized rocker guard, it will probably get powder coated in the spring, I'm probably going to have front, rear, and maybe side lights for camping/hunting so it might be too many wires for the hole, I might try going through the CHMSL, I'm going to mount 4 switches in the overhead console where the sunglasses compartment is now

Finally got some lights mounted, now I just need to find time to wire them

 

hey so im gunna try and make this rack just a few questions first. what are the dimensions? like how wide and long and tall? and what kind of offset bend did you do for the light section? i just started learning pipe bending at work and i wanna give this a try cause it looks sick! also how far foreward on the roof did you mount it? sorry for all the questions i just wanna make sure i do it right the first time.

The rack is 56" long, 44" wide, 6" high on the rear and 9" over the lights, I used a 30* offset.

I finally mounted some switches for the lights, the 4 switches will operate roof front, roof rear, bumper lights, and a spare
