    I use Safari on my iPad and it's fine. What is the advantage of Tapatalk on an iPad over Safari ? I always thought Tapatalk was a iPhone screened app made to use the size of the phone. I'm just curious if their is an advantage for the iPad .

    Only downfall of tapatalk is that you don't see people's signatures. Not that that is a huge issue but if you want to check out somebody's build thread or if there's a link to something your looking for in a sig it's much harder to find. Also the tapatalk search, in my opinion, is not very good. I have never had any luck with it anyways.

    So a Tacomaworld specific app with some more features would be something I would spend a couple of bucks on. But for the time being I will continue to use tapatalk.

    I also frequent a Model Train Forum that has TapTalk that you can access the forum on your Smart Phone using that. Works great and nice feature of the forum to be able to use it while on the go or away from your home.
    Yes I would like to see that feature with this site

    I looked into what making and supporting a forum app would require. As a one man show I could never keep up with tapatalk. Someone else can build it, because I sure don't want to. It's financially not really there either. Tapatalk can target most people who frequent a forum whereas I would be targeting a demographic of 90k. Realistically, I would at most get 20,000 sales from here. At $1-2 per sale, it's not worth putting in the time to build it.

    I think if people knew what goes into designing an app that would work on all the different phones out there with all the different OS's people would change their opinion.

    On a different note...clicking a link opens a new browser window. Imagine having to open/close the browser and getting into/out a TW app everytime you clicked a link or something. Seems like the mobile site is the answer :thumbsup:

    I know, but I didn't like the look, couldn't get used to it, and it unsubscribed me to threads all on its own. Also would tend to crash on me on pages with a lot of pics, live, funny pics, etc...
