Hello there tacoma world, I have 2012 tacoma crew cab 4x4 TRD. After reading up on several threads I decided that I want to install a lift and larger tires.

    What I plan to do:

    3 inch OME lift
    AAL
    285 75 16 KM2
New UCA (how big of a difference would it make on alignment if I kept the stock uca?)

As far as trimming goes, what is the easiest way for a beginner with minimal mechanical skills?

I seen 5100's around? and coilovers in the front and shocks in the back? What is the best set up for daily driving?

Any corrections or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance tacoma world!

First off welcome to TW. I recommend you do lots of research and reading before pulling the trigger on a suspension. The search function on here is your best friend when looking for info.

For your suspension see what it is you want and why you want it. How do you plan on using your truck?

I've been doing a lot of research on this for my AC, and the DC is slightly heavier. For the DC, seems many are happy with OME 885 springs, OME shocks and rear Dakar leaf packs. AAL (what I have now) gave me the lift but stock springs get weak over time and ride becomes too soft... so save your self the trouble and bypass the AAL and go for Dakar leaf packs... Slee offroad seem to take the time to answer questions on a thorough and professional manner, but most vendors are good and prices are very similar.
Only difference in my conclusions is that I will install 884 front springs for about 2" lift, I just don't like the "front-end in the air" look, plus keeps alignments easy to do than a 3"...

3" lifts you will need UCAs as caster becomes harder to retain, 2" lift you might be able to used the LCA cams to get it right...

correction: i'm sure the 2012s have the 3 leaf TSB springs which are better than my pre-TSB shit 2 leafs, so with the AAL you are 4 leafs and overload, which is close to a dakar pack.... just order extra plastic anti-fiction pads for the AAL you will need them...
