That's way too high. I paid $29,750 + ttl for the same truck. I've seen others who paid a few hundred less than me. Unless there are no other dealers near you I'd tell them to pound sand

I didn't have anything to trade in, because I sold my car private sale. (Dealer wouldn't give me shit for it as a trade in.)

I paid $28,370 and change for the truck, and with TTF I got it for 30k flat out the door. They negotiate more when you show up with a nice fat check in your hand :)

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
I just bought my first new truck, a 2013 TX TRD dcsb 4x4 auto in MGM. Can't be happier with truck. I paid $34000, sticker was $34750. Not much break, but I only wanted this exact truck and it was the only one in the state with this setup.

    SR5 or OR? 4x4 or 4x2?

Go online and email a few dealers within 100 miles that have the exact truck you want. Tell them that you know exactly what you want and you're simply looking for the best price. Then take it from there.

    not really

and in many/most states...you pay sales tax on the differance between trade vehicle value and the new vehicle. unless selling private far exceedes that spread, it may not be worth the effort.

Don't feel bad. Notice most of the good deals are coming from out west. Down in GA I got mine out the door for 32,200, truck itself was negotiated at about 30,900. Lowest price I could find from any dealer in the state for a 4x4 Pyrite Double-cab short bed. In my area they didn't seem to stock many 4x4 so negotiations are slim.

Either way do what was already mentioned and try and get a few dealers on the line and see if they will haggle each other down to give you the lowest price possible.

Agreed. For a $500 difference it isn't worth going through the hassle of selling privately.

You should be able to get that truck for $30,500 or so before any rebates (if there are any in your region)

Hmm - makes me want to check my warranty out.

It may be too late though, even if I did find a better deal.

I just might have to once I review the info from my deal.

They gave me the hookup since I've done business with them in the past and had six Toyotas, along with a previous loan with SETF.

    Never hurts to check though.

    Thanks for the info!

I got a decent deal (though nothing near as good as a lot of y'all!) :(
Just bought my 2013 Access cab SR5 4x4 V-6 6 speed manual, towing package, floor mats, stickered at $29,369, got it out the door for $29,000 and that's with a $1000 bumper to bumper 7 year/80,000 mile extended warranty package. I thought it was a pretty decent deal.

I will say, I could've gotten a double cab cheaper (for whatever reason, they were more willing to deal on them?) BUT, all the double cabs were automatic trans and I really wanted a stick shift! (got the only stick shift 4x4 in 3 dealerships! Was hard to find a stick shift, what's up with that?)

I really wanted a regular cab with a V-6 but, Toyota doesn't make them, that sucks!!! :( That'd be one FAST truck! Heck, my access cab is a rocket for a stock truck! Just bought it saturday, been enjoying the heck out of it thus far!

Just went and got a 2013 DCLB TRD Sport PreRunner Spruce Mica.

Sticker was 30370. Traded in an 07 RC 5spd 4cyl w/ 90k miles. Dealership gave 7500, I owed 2500. Added on leather installed tomorrow and some Simoniz shit that my wife got sold on.

But the best part of the deal was 0% APR for 60 months for "Toyotathon." Make sure you print off verification because dealer didn't believe me.
