Well, as I was gettin out of my stand this evenin, I heard something walking in. It never would come out to where I could see it. It was like 5:40, so it was basically too dark to shoot anyway. I got on down and took a couple steps and heard it take off. Peckerhead waited til RIGHT AT dark to come in. As I was walking down the trail back to the truck, I heard something walking around, and shined my light towards it. I THINK it was a doe. Not 100% sure. It had to be the same one that was walking in on me. It was coming down the same trail that the buck I shot and couldn't find (Which I think is still alive) came in, as well as several other deer I've seen in there this year.

Next time I'm in there (probably Sunday evening) I'm gonna set up in a different tree that is about 60-70 yards back towards the truck from where I've been sitting. I won't be able to see the flat I've been hunting most of the year, but it seems like more of them are using this trail anyway. Maybe I can cut them off before dark. There were a few new horned bushes in there this evenin, too. Starting to get frustrating since I can only go 1 day a week now.

finally made my way to an actual computer. having an iphone does have its disadvantages.

my first bow buck from 2010

10pt from archery season this year

my sons 9pt he killed in rifle season
    [IMG]

all 3 of those deer came from the same hill. anyone thats spent any time in the mountains of central PA knows thats kinda tough to kill 2 bucks the same year on the same hill that are mature. saw the buck my son shot the night i shot the 10pt. never got a real good look at him that night but im 99% sure its the same buck.

We never use the stone fireplace. There is a wood burning stove out of view that we use to heat the camp.

Had a pretty good weekend. Got 2 does and a small 6pt. Wasn't too bad for south ga. Everything's kinda small but should give me some good meat. Didn't get any pictures of the last doe. Got her right as the sun went down and had to drag her out of the woods in the dark so no pictures.

I miss the opportunity on a nice buck last night. I saw 8 deer last night. A nice buck stepped out to my right at 5:40. And I'm a right handed shooter so when I'm sittin in a climber and tryin to shoot to the right its difficult. But I got turned so I could shoot but he went straight to the cut down and didn't wanna shoot him in the butt so I let him walk
