What are most owners using on their tires? I've tried the McGuires gel, it's ok but the applicator could be better. I'm looking for something that will give it a good shine & not come off even after it dries.

I like the ICE stuff...and the Maguires foam has worked well for me....I don't need any LONG term shine tho.

heres a pic of my tire after. Make sure to use whesleys bleech white to clean the tire first. I dont care what tire dressing you use but if the tire is not clean then you wasted your time.

PS...There was an article/how-to posted recently about using a tap coat application of dressing using a heat gun to open the pores in the tires up before and after the first coat. Apparently improves the longevity of the shine.

They guy who did it used Maguires, but said you can use what ever I think.

I recommend whatever is cheap... Its tire shine, and it does the pretty much the same thing if you apply it correctly... I will add this about the bleach white though... BE CAREFUL with that stuff!! I recommend using a wet SOS pad for white walls instead of bleach white, I think its crap and it will mess up clear coat and spot chrome or alloy....

If your going to use tire shine, I suggest using only water-based products. Non water-based will result in brown tires.

303 - I use it on EVERYTHING!!! I really don't like the wet, greasy look that some tire dressings give. 303 protects, looks clean, and seems like it lasts longer than other dressings that I've used.

I'm a poster child for 303, and it's mainly because I reaseach the shit out of everthing I buy and haven't found ANYTHING better. If somebody know of something, please let me know.

    303 aerospace is awesome stuff.

i use meguiars endurance tire shine, and a sponge as an applicator. the shine lasts for a good while.....doesnt wash off in the rain, and doesnt brown tires.

Yeah I've heard that the spray foam-on stuff eats away slowly at your tire if you use it enough so I stopped using them on my old stock tires. I don't use anything on my tires no more except the good old pressure washer and some soap. Works good for me.

Always just used armor all here. Sure if you put it on and forget to keep up on it, your tire can dry out. Either way, It usually lasts for minimum two weeks with a gloss on my tires. I just started using it on my black wheels too, really damn nice lookin!

    In order:
    1. Wet tires with water hose
    2. Apply a butyl degreaser on tires(not rims) until orange color appears.
-use a spray bottle with wide spray. do NOT inhale!
    3. Using a high pressure washer, spray off tires.
-do NOT leave on long than 3 minutes.
-will see faded color lift off.
    4. Apply a 50/50 mix of ArmorAll and H2O to the tires.
-use a spray bottle with wide spray.
    -even coat around tire.

These tires are over 3 years old and still look new.
