Jace, I'm thinking the MT/Rs for a few reasons. First they're cheaper than the KM2s. I haven't had any complaints about the KM2s. But the MT/R's being cheaper and with a bit more siping should be better all around. I know a lot of people really like the Duratracs but I just don't like them. They seem to wear too quickly compared to some of the other ones. Also the biggest advantage of the Duratracs is also their biggest weakness IMO. Siping. They have the most siping of this type of tire and that gives them great traction on wet/snowy roads. But that same siping seems to create more edges to chunk away and cause quicker wear on the rocks and trails. I also think the Duratracs are an ugly tire. Not that the MT/R's are super-model good looking. The KM2s are the best looking of the bunch IMO.

The KM2s are just the opposite, they've been great in the rocks with very little chunking and great wear but lowsy in the wet/snowy conditions. The MT/Rs seem to be a good middle ground and they are tough as nails.

Monte, I'm not quite ready to tub the firewall so 35's aren't going to work yet. But either tire 35 or 33 would be a 12.50 wide so other than tubbing it will be the same.

Yea pull get to test out the width for fender clearance which will help.

I just can get over the fact good year tires have weak side wides and they don't flex as nice as BFGs. I don't care if they have Kevlar or not. I have still read of them blowing out just like the durtarcs. Plus my old good years were horrible to live with in their last stages of life. Just way to loud.

But that's just me  I think I'm going to stick with KM2s for 35s.

Slick rock  super fun to drive on. Usually plenty if grip. And we have granite boulders here out there is
Ts mostly ledges and drops and ditches..least that was my impression...

Well, as long as you don't show up out there in a Jeep commander, you should have a huge advantage over them.

Not sure on noise. I had the old style MTR's on my FJ40 and my FZJ80. They were good at the beginning and got louder as they wore. No idea how this new tread design will compare, but I think the asymetrical design will definitely be quieter.

Yep I don't have any concerns with sidewalls or flex with the MTRs

    At 8psi haha

Mine look like that at 12..I would never do 8 for crawling or trails.

I think I've read 3-4 accounts of the side walls blowing between here and TTORA...but they looks sick and Jon likes them and they did great in Lander..so to each and to his own. BFG for me all the way :)

Major concerns having Been to Moab before is possibly having to trailer the vehicles between trails. Our 4runners are not currently street legal ( mine has a Lincoln locker in the rear axle) might be able to make them street legal if not it'll be a gooseneck trailer having to go between trails.
