    I am in the Air Force, I load cargo planes.. i just happend to be stuck at pope going on 3.5 years.. and for the first 3 years I have been on Night shift 6pm to 6am and in the Middle east for 12 of those months.

    Now im home been on Day shift 6am-6pm for the past 4.5 months and they want to put me back on Nights.. and im about to lose my fucking mind.. I wont see my wife but 30 hours a week, which half of that will be while im asleep.. (Which is a bad thing) ... She's pregnant that has already had its issues.. dont need the added stress.. and Like i said 3 years of being on night shift.. WHAT THE FUCK


    yea.. I fucking hate it here.. i need orders bad..

    I saw that.. but gotta wait to next season to see what happen.. i was talking about the girl that died in the beginning.. i had been hearing rumors that it was going to be Mac, Montana or Danny that gets killed off

    Been there, done that - not the 12 hour shifts, but the swing shift thing. Was on swings for a LONG time while the cry babies got to stay on days all because they WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH to the boss and I got screwed in the process. Got to see my boys to take them to school and then the baby sitter in the evening and then had to wake them up to take them home and put them to bed.

    I understand your pain and frustration... why can't the douche you would be replacing stay on nights?

    so i have run the numbers and...

    Currently with me working day shift I spend (aprx)
    33hrs a week Awake with the wife
    57hrs a week sleeping with the wife
    78 hours a week apart bc of work (33 of which we are both at work same time)

    If i get moved to night shift
    22 hrs a week together awake
    10 hrs a week together asleep (Weekends only)
    52 hrs a week ill be awake at work while she is sleeping
    46 hours a week she will be work while im sleeping
    34 hours a week where 1 of us will be home awake while the other is asleep
    4 hours a week when we are both at work

    That is the thing.. the schedule doesnt show anyone coming to Days.. just me being added to nights.. and last week i was up here on my day off after i took my WAPS test.. and he said something about there being a vehicle accident on nights again.. and i joked and said.. yea you guys had 3 when i was on leave.. seems like this place cant function while im gone.. and he said.. I do need someone to come to nights.. I told him it wont work for me with the wifes schedule.. and being pregnant and she has had some complications.. and he said it will work if he wants it to work and then walked away.. so i think he is trying to fuck me over.. because i said I wouldnt do it.

    Weather is supposed to be nice here today--colder than its been, but sunny. Hopefully I will get a ride in today. I may be able to get a ride in every day this week if the weather holds out! :yay:

    what is really gonna suck is if i talk to him tomorrow and he doenst move me back to days.. and I tell him to go fuck him self and walk to the LT office and tell her to move me to the other shop or i'll tell the commander that my Sgt is being a dick and is trying to fuck me over when i asked nicley not to be on nights because of my wife and our situation..
