    Hey:

Two questions. First, I hope to put intermittent wipers on my 07 tacoma, however, it is not an SR5 and I don't know if the wires would be different. Anybody done this, and is it a simple change out?
Secondly, My son-in-law has an 07 Tacoma SR5 but, it does not have the rear view mirror that has the temp/direction display on it. Wondering if the proper wiring will already be there if I can find a upgrade mirror. I've also found out that there is an aftermarket rear view mirror available for this very job. Anybody know whether it is worth it, or should I keep looking for a used Toyota mirror

    Thanks

The wiper stalk is plug & play from what I've read.
Don't know about the mirror. I thought the temp display was in the overhead (mine is a base model + convenience package).

on the 2011 and older, yes.

2012 and up, the temp/compass is in the Mirror.

So my guess is no wire at the mirror but it maybe in the overhead and you could run it down if it's there.

I did the wiper swap on my 2007, it's just a base model no SR5 package. There are no wires to change, it is a 10 minute plug and play deal, one of the better mods you can do. There are numerous intermittent wiper stalks installed in other Toyotas that will interchange, If you check the parts numbers and applications. There is also a step by step tutorial on the forum explaining how to do it, I found that a great help.
