Will a bug shield impact air flow to the hood scoop on the TRD Sport?

The hood scoop is fake, it doesn't do anything

 

The scoop is in a negative air space, no air could get into it even it were made to be functional

ever notice if there is water on the hood, you can drive around and it goes nowhere?

 

Interesting. I could have sworn I read a thread on here that said that the reason the TRD sport handles better is because of the scoop. It sounded legit at the time.
