Ok So i've researched this for 2 hours and cannot find an answer. So far it seems "no" but I'll ask here.

I'm still deciding on yakima or thule racks. It looks like I'll have to go with the "clamp" on type of feet.

I would REALLY like the option of bolting the feet into the factory bolt holes on the roof but haven't seen any done without drilling.

Has anyone bolted yakima/thule racks into the factory holes?

Ok getting closer. I only want standard roof racks. I'm not interested in the basket or platform.

Those frontrunner brackets look interesting though.

Forana, I am with you. I would LOVE to add a cross bar to the roof of my double cab utilizing the factory bolt holes. I have searched in the past but never found anything. Need a little more support for my canoe....

I have Yakimas on mine and did a ton of research. You can only utilize one factory hole for each mounting point, you will have to drill the other four holes. Purchase Yakima Landing Pads #7, It will come with everything you need, special fasteners and silicone for the holes that need drilled.

Like most people, I was a bit timid to go drilling into my roof, however it was pretty simple using the Yak hardware.

    Too many to list now.
Wait, it seems like you just want factory roof rails, so why not get them from the factory? Or am I missing something?

I wouldn't mind doing this as long as I can plug the holes and return it back to factory if I ever decide to sell the truck. Thoughts??

Any other info you can provide on the subject would be great. Better pics of the top. etc...

from my experience ( saw a friend) has to buy extra seals to cover... he drilled into the original seal to make everything water-tight.. so I would assume if you bought new seal covers you would theoretically be returned to factory.. only you would know there would be holes under it

By seals do you mean the long rubber strips on top or actual seals under the rubber strip??

Do you know if the rubber strips can be removed and reinstalled easily?

yea... I removed my strips to put my roof rack on.. I still have them in storage.. looks like they snap back in and would really be ok if you used 3m tape

I don't like the factory rails. I want exactly what zero007 has but am scared sh1tless drilling into my roof. Was hoping for one that would bolt into factory holes.

I don't mind drilling into mine under the rubber strips as long as I only have to drill 4 holes total and I can remove and cover them if I ever decide to sell the truck.
