So my dad wants to get some new shocks and rims for his silver 2012 F-150. He wants something a little nicer than 5100's, maybe some fox's or something? Also any other mods that you think would be good additions are welcome. Anybody have any helpful suggestions? (emphasis on helpful :p)

Fox or king are the most popular I think.
Also try asking on a f-150 forum, might yield better results;)

I would but those forums are poop. Pages take forever to load due to their thousands of ads and its pretty hard to find useful stuff... but I suppose if nothing comes of this thread, I'll head over to that place again.
Honestly I have no idea, sorry. Got it off uberhumor

A little more info you Dad's truck would be helpful, I'm a Ford Tech and can assist you with anything you may want to customize on the truck.

My Friend is running an AutoSpring 2.5'' Leveling Kit on the Factory 20" Wheels with Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/65/20 truck stands tall and stout. His is an 05 Lariat not much difference what so ever.

Well he is just looking for some shocks that will maybe make the truck ride better while he has it stock, but if he ends up giving it to me down the road, then maybe I could add UCA's or whatnot to add a little travel. I guess like sort of a midtravel setup for F150's

Get some foxes and call it a day.

    or Kings.

They both make products for your dad's truck.

Dad's got a 11 f-150 platinum 5.0, great truck. I'd think some weathertechs and some shocks, new tires, bed liner, and maybe a clear bra or something, can't remember if they have factory clear bra or not.

Think I will advise him to go this route. Thanks for the input. My dad's got the weathertecs, tires, and bedliner down, just wanted my input on the shocks. I'd kinda like him to have a mid-travel-ish setup, but don't really know how to go about that on anything but a tacoma ha. So probably just will advise him to check out some fox's.

You can also tell your dad to check out sdhqoffroad.com
They are known for building some bad ass Ford trucks. They might even have some Fox take offs from a Raptor. If not they can at least guide you depending on your budget.

You're telling me changing shocks will cause him to lose his drivetrain warranty?
