No, came close to dieing too many times already (health stuff) to have it worry me. Maybe having an actual family to call my own would probably change that. But till then no

I think most everyone has to be a little afraid of the unknown. When you are young, most folks have no fear because they assume the chances are low it could happen to them.

As others mentioned you come to grips with reality as you get older, but at the same time you realize it's pointless to go around thinking about it. Instead you just try to take every measure posibble to delay it.

Fear of what leads to my death is very real though. I am so afraid of heights, I hope my systems would probably shut down before the bottom.

I used to fear Death when i was a younger man, life experiences, near-misses, seeing death, going to the Edge and peering into the Abyss. It changes you, I am curious as to what's on the other side. My father had a quad bypass and they stopped his heart on the table, he was dead, he told me about what he saw on the other side.
All this ties into what many of us wonder about this world, why are we here? What is our purpose? The Tibetan Buddhists believe that this world is not reality, they also believe in Karma. I have leaned towards these beliefs over the years and conduct my life accordingly. I am really curious what comes next but I am in no hurry to get there.
The Tibetans also state in the Book of the Dead that 'you should have a good death', meaning a peaceful passing from this world to the next. Makes good sense to me. I wouldn't want my soul torn from this body in a horrific, sudden and violent manner. I joke that I want to die with my boots at the foot of the bed, just one last breath, release and *poof*, you become 21 grams lighter and away we go.
Have a peaceful day everyone, good topic Babytruck:)

    This.

At the 18, i feel like i havent really done anything of great signifigance to be honest. Sure I'm in college and working on making money to spend on my truck and stuff, but i have no family of my own, no one to talk to about my experiences and to lead my son/daughter in the right direction, because of this and the fact that i dont have a wife plays a role. It's just all me for the moment and it is both a blessing and a curse at the same time.

Do i fear death? No, i've seen people die and this has convinced me that there's no point in worrying about whether you'll make it to the next day, year, decade, whatever. I just want to make some sort of change in the world, i dont want superstar status or even be recognized, because there's no humility in that. I would prefer to be that person that makes great changes but no one knows who i am or why i did it.

So in short, Life is just another journey and i feel like i havent really started walking, maybe once i settle down with a family i'll see some progress in myself and be able to recognize myself a bit better.

Great topic by the way

Nope not at all. My grandfather had the business of grave digging for over 50 years so as one of my summer jobs was digging graves as well. I have buried over 180 people including friends ,family and neighbors.
My grandparents has purchased cemetery plots for most all of our remaining family back when they were only $5 a plot, now they can be up to $10,000 a plot. The cemetery we have is over 1/3 of my family in it going back to 1846. So being around it has made me humble and appreciate my life and live it to its fullest and with no regrets.

Everyone dies sometime. So you can't fear death, its coming regardless.

Live life to its fullest every day, it may be your last.
