We are ALL heading towards our demise.

You know, when I asked him why he's afraid and he shook his head without any real answer, I told him I'm not afraid because I'm living life right by being/doing good and that I'm at peace with myself. I'm happy with what I've been through - good or bad. Because no matter what, my past has shaped me into who I am today. I said that if it's time for me to go, and I'm needed elsewhere, then I have no choice, do I?

The only thing that would cause concern is how my family would do without my physical being.

My father was working 2 blocks from the wtc on 9/11 and we've spoke about it over the years. he helped a number of people in and out of a basement for shelter, potentially saving their lives. I've asked how he felt during it and he said he never thought for a second about dying, he just knew he had to help people. He said after he had time to cope, he realized everyone has their time. But if you kno you have lived a good life, helped people, always kept a good heart and never took anything for granted, you can kno that when your time does come, you'll be at peace knowing your lived the best life you could. Scared? No. A realist? Yes. Any minute could be the last so live life the fullest as much as you can

The only thing that worries me is my nephews. I dont want to leave them, other than that? Not to concerned about it, living is harder than dying. Thats why I have no respect for suicides.
Thats what makes us human, the fact that we die and we know it. You only have so much time, make the best of it.

    .
Sure, we said he was in a long hallway of his house where he grew up in, a place he hadn't been in in 50 years, it was warm and inviting, he wasn't afraid, at the end of the hallway was a room where all of his family was, all of the ones that have long since passed away. They were happy to see them but one of them told him "it's not your time yet". And the next thing he remembers was waking up in post-op. He said it definitely was NOT a dream, he was there, it was very real.

Sure changes your perspective doesn't it? Suddenly there is something much greater than yourself to care for.

I think what people are really saying when they say they fear dyeing, is that they fear suffering.

I don't fear death, I don't not fear death. To me, death is the same as birth. A doorway to earth. I willingly came here to learn from others and help others. When i'm done doing that, death will open the door home for me, and I will be reunited with my family and friends who have walked through the door way before me.

No. I still have a lot of "life" that I want to live but I do strongly believe that my life has purpose. If it all ends after death what's the point of learning and being a good person? What a waste. I think death is just another step in my eternal existence. I'm looking forward to seeing friends and relatives that I have loved.

I've already seen it in this thread, I'm not afraid to die but I don't want it to happen. Living my life in fear would be no life at all, I'd be looking over my shoulder every second of the day waiting for something to happen.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I used to be when I was little, but there is no way around the reaper, there is a beginning and an end to everything on this earth. In a way, I look forward to it, I never got to know my mother, she died when I was 6 months old, and miss the hell out of my grandparents, I wanna see them all again so badly! And be with all my deceased dogs again, losing a good pet really hurts bad.

I'm not allowed to die. I owe toyota financial waytoo much money for them to let me go that easily.

That's also how I know the world isn't going to end next week. If anything, it will probably end the day after I get my truck paid off.

Not as much, almost died in high school from a bike accident due to a ruptured spleen. Spent a month in ICU and had to re-learn to walk n shit. Clearly wasn't my time then, and I don't it will be for a while. Im more scared of being on a bike at high speeds than death...

P.S. proper maintenace on anything is the best prevention for things to go wrong!

Wanted to share this powerful quote as I fear more, not reaching out to others, impacting lives in a positive way before my time is up in this world.
The best use of life is love, the best expression of love is time, and the best time to love is now ! author unknown
