    Depends on the look you want I'm guessing.

    This is the route I would have went. Probably a "drywall type" chilton stone or something along those lines. Outcropping could also work well. Using concrete blocks is out of style in my opinion.

    Only if you wanted to look at architectural block as a finished product as opposed to natural stone veneer

    Plus the landings and footings would have to have been poured anyway

    Plus the concrete stairs , pinned to the house foundation with epoxied 15m rebar @ 8" OC , are acting to support the future 5" natural stone veneer that will be applied to the house

    Plus the second curved wall will be a pond , we will be parging the concrete walls with Xypex to waterproof them

    Plus we have been pouring in the rain , I just didn't want to do the stairs in the rain

    Plus easier does not always equal better
