Not getting so much here in Spring Hill though We really need it too

Any of you with UWS boxes ever have water get inside? Looked in mine today after the rain and the bottom had a nice coating of water on it.

Yea i have a UWS also gets a little water in it only durring hard rain, but i have noticed that the foam inside the lid is pretty much gone in mine, think thats more of a noise dampner than water seal anyway.

 

PM Jason (lawncare) i think he had the same issue with his UWS about a year ago. his box was full of stuff, so he couldn't see the water. he said he nticed it when i he got a musty smell whenever he opened it.

Mine's only been in my truck for about a week now. Foam is still intact, but yeah, I think it's more for noise dampening too.

Thanks for the info! I haven't put anything in mine yet, but I noticed it when I lifted up the rubber liner I put in the bottom of it. Very strange.

Only holes I can see aside from two Jason drilled to run the j-bolts through are small holes in the handles for a little pin to go through.

see Mike, my red lca skids, shackles and light surrounts need red coils to match

 

My uws would occasionally have moisture in bottom also
I always just chalked it up as "condensation" due to temp changes and high humidity in Florida

Anyone have a recommendation for camping in the central Florida area? Anyone ever been to the "dispersed sites" in Ocala NF? Like "primitive" camping but out of the taco, not hiking in...wife and I are new to the area and aren't sure where to go.

 

That's kind of what I chalked it up as also.

I'll be getting a few of those stick-on baking soda thingies to help reduce moisture and odor build-up to see if they help. I honestly don't see how any real water could be getting in - it's fairly well sealed.

I left mine sitting outside for over a year, and never used it or even opened it
When I did finally open it... There was only slight moisture in bottom, ... If it was truly "leaking" ..one would think it would have been nearly full of water after a year and several hard rain storms
I don't believe it's leaking ... Simply condensation
