haha. yep. i took the gun apart. i’m not stupid enough to take a pic down a barrel of a loaded gun. i just put a round in and held it in with my finger.

No, they exist for sure. But if there was a situation where I had to defend myself from an intruder in my little town on my crowded street, a gun would only make things worse. I'd probably be sued by someone... probably the intruder.... Fuck New Jersey. My gun would probably end up spending all of its time in a lock box and be taken out once in a blue moon to shoot at an indoor range.

I guess I would rather be sued and persecuted than dead and naked. Rather lose six hundred dollars of gun than a priceless life.

i dont own a range bag and wanted a good one. after looking at different forums to get opinions, this was the most recommended and I wasnt disappointed. i think its the nicest bag of any sort that ive ever had, so i thought i would share the link with everyone. its a little pricy, but i think it will last a lifetime. if anyone has one, id love to see what you put in all the pockets... there are a lot of them!

By the time I called on the 1187, the gun was spoken for so I might have missed it. But, I have an opportunity to get a pair of Browning A-5's. Anyone have one or know anything about them?

Thanks guys. I found a guy selling 2 of them, one is a slug gun and one has a 28" barrel. I think I can get the pair for under $350 but need to see what kind of condition they're in. Mine will definitely not be a safe queen :D

EDIT: NVM, talked to the guy this morning and they weren't anything I want to mess with. Apparently they're in rough shape. He said they could be polished up and put over a mantle but would need to be gone through pretty thoroughly in order to shoot them again. Being inexperienced, I'm not up for that kind of rebuild nor do I want to pay someone to do it for me.

I likely will end up doing that. A local member was nice enough to take me shooting and I shot his Mossberg 500. It felt pretty good to me. I haven't had the chance to hold an 870 yet though. If I buy new, I'll wait until after the holidays. I've just been trying to look out for a used one at a good price but no one gets rid of their 500's and the 870's (which says something about them in itself).

Thanks for the advice, it's probably what I'll end up doing and next year I can actually contribute to this thread with pictures :D
