Thanks, looks like I have a little reading to do... :pccoffee:

I get told that a LOT actually :anonymous:

I definitely want to make this thing street-able. I had the tow rig in mind for specifically for long distance travel, not to mention DDing or whatever. Less unnecessary wear on the much more expensive parts, tires, etc. of the SAS.

Im not ignortant to the dangers of blowing a line.. Now having said that im gonna tell you y im doing full hydro anyways.. first off im not gonna run powersteeing line im having a custom hoses built for it by a cat shop.
they have in their display room a double stainless braided hose with their connections put on it holding up a 20,000 lb weight i think they will be fine. biggest thing that takes out hydro lines is age and rubbing on other stuff. ill be keeping a very close eye on my truck as im a master tech at a shop and have a bad habit of looking my rig over once a week.;)

Side note with 44" tires if you loose assist you might as well let go off the wheel cus they will do what they want anyways.

No problemo, ace! I got my GED a while back so I can do all that simple math for ya anytime you want! hahahahahahha

They have more than one Calculuses???!?!? :D
I'd blame the 2.7.... lol  Besides, isn't there something wrong with your engine? It sounds terrible in all the videos I've seen of your truck. Or is it just me?
Ture story about the cops... but I'd be more worried about insurance issues. I wouldn't count on the insurance adjuster not knowing the difference if you got in bad wreck with that thing.... :notsure:

I know about the effecs power and weigth have on the axles... I always thought 44s were about the limit on a 60 on a taco... I know the 3.4 isn't crazy big and our trucks are very light.... but that Atlas 4 speed will be putting down some TORQUE :D and 44s are massive... I don't know. but I forsee a lot of 300m and 4340 in your future since it looks like you play good and hard with your truck. Which isn't a bad thing at all. :burnrubber:

Just go with a 4-link quater elliptical set-up in the rear!!! Or just freaking 3-link it if you like your bed a lot. Chop those 63s (actually 64s:rolleyes:) in half, maybe add a leaf or two and blamo, streetable/haulable with flex to match the front. :D

at that point the trucks gonna be so moded it's gonna take one really nasty wreak to the insurance involved.. mostly would just bend rims and links fame is already beefed and getting tons more.

as far as breaking on an axle like i said i doubt ill need to but if i do oh well bring on the pain ill build some bullet proof shit and then who cares right?

links in the rear ive thought lots about it and im just gonna keep the rear simple the front is gonna cost like 6K just to set it all up the way i want.

Diamond Axle SAS, TRD FJ calipers and brembo rotors on all 4, FJ rear axle, 5.29's and elockers in both, 3rz swap and dual cases,4.7 rear case,00 taco dash, bobbed bed, soft topper, raceline beadlocks, fj cruiser steering wheel and clinometer, super white paint and 37'' kevlars. Much more but i will keep it simple.
The issue with the fj80 is steering. Highsteer arms are like $700 and hellfire fab knuckles are like $800 I think I read. By the time you get the axle and that stuff you could do a diamond. Plus its a ton of stuff to cut off. If your doing links its not a bad stup. The rear diff is offset. My buddy Nate has a ff fj80 in his taco and he hasn't had any issues but he's now converting to diamonds. Bang for the buck its almost easier to go the diamond route and run mini truck knuckles and get a better width. I'm not sure that anyone makes a brake upgrade for the 80 axle to use the taco/tundra brakes or the late taco/Fj brakes.

Front range off road/ diamond axle offers both kits. I have the 05+ and Fj kit on my diamond and love it. I beefed up the bolts on It cause the early kit had a short bolt. I had them pull out on me so I went to a longer bolt and from 8.8 to 12.9 in a socket head bolt. I like the socket head better now that its on. I'm the only one it happened to so it could have been the knuckle or one backed out or something but the longer, stronger bolt gives me a little piece of mind now.

Not worried about Fab work. Its what I do I was just curious if anyone has had good results with it. I like the idea of wiring the front E-locker into my existing switch. Shouldn't be too hard to clear up the underside of this truck and Yank all the mounting hardware off a cruiser at a junkyard I wouldn't think. I haven't researched it much though to be honest.. I just have this front housing off a landcruiser at my shop laying around. Trying to utilize it.

So if the fab works not an issue then the only downside to it is the highsteer/steering arm options and the lack of brake upgrades to match your setup. If your using links the. You won't have the same issues As a leaf swap with the steering but you still want the tierod up out of the rocks. I think there is talk of a keyed version of the hellfire knuckles for full hydro and hydro assist guys.......

Now that I think about it someone had said something about a rhd steering arm for makin steering easier. I'd search pirate

Tie rod on the fj80's sits behind the axle above the radius arms, no need to try and get it up out of the rocks.

Im going to go full hydro on it shouldnt have any issues with rocks hitting it. Also the steering links will be so short and strong i could probably hit rocks and not have any problems.

Yeah my bad the draglink is on the front still. For some reason I had It pictured funny. If you run leafs the highsteer is needed so its over the leaf.... Yeah I'm feeling a bit slow today
