hey brady, remember how you asked what I would do if the bogus training days were the same days I had the 9 hour weekend shifts? Well of course they have confirmed that they are. So the clinic and orientation are both 9 hour days this weekend, and training is 9 hour days all next weekend, to which each day for the next 2 weekends I have alll 9 hour shifts at my other job...so FUCK ME, it will be a miracle if i can manage to change all 4 of those shifts so i can get to all of the mandatory bogus jobs. I will be lucky if i can swap the day shifts to closing night shifts.

So speaking of the military.... So remember when I told you guys back in August that I smashed my hand up and had to go get an X-ray? Well I was on active duty so it was a Line Of Duty (LOD) injury and the army pays for it. I got those x-rays back in mid August. Well I understand the Army is usually slow about getting paperwork taken care of and I ended up getting some of the bills in the mail a month or two later because they hadn't been paid yet. So I sent them to the training NCO who takes care of those things and talked to the hospital about putting some sort of a hold on them so they don't go to collection. She assured me that they don't send anything out until it is about 6 months over due. Well I continued to get repeats of the bills every month and would talk to the Sergeant at least once a month about it and he kept telling me he was just waiting on some paperwork for it. Well they made some changes to our unit and he is moving to another unit and his job is being filled by a lower ranking NCO. I got a final notice in the mail today saying I had a week before the bills went to collections. So I call up my NCO to make sure everything was being taken care of since the other NCO had left just last week. Turns out that guy didn't do shit about my LOD and my battery commander had just got that NCO's workload dumped on him and he was actually working on my LOD right then, so I had to go see him about it and give him copies of my bills and call the hospital and stuff and hopefully it will be taken care of in the next week or two

Well the funny thing is, I quit drinking energy drinks about 9 weeks ago now, (partly because my wife would persistently bug me about how they are going to kill me, mixed with the fact that $2 a day for a year adds up to an extra $730 a year I would save by quitting), but here and there I will have a mountain dew or something just to have some flavor. While I was driving my home after talking to my commander I was debating on whether to get an MD or not and at the last second I turned into a gas station. As I go to walk into the store a guy stops me and says he will pay me $10 if I would jump start him. Well I have some jumper cables under the back seat and I tell him I will do it for free cuz it isn't a big deal. So I hook up to him and I can't jump him. The starter would just go clunk, and that was it... Brand new set of jumper cables that I think I have used once, but it kind of seems like the batteries just aren't connecting so I tell him I have another set I can run home and grab that I know work that are in my car. So I go get them and come back and his van fires right up first try. Oh and I ended up walking out of there with $5 and a mountain dew, he wouldn't let me get away for nothing... When I got home I hooked the cables up to the battery and touched the other ends together and actually had a hard time getting them to spark... I put a volt meter and an ohm meter on them and they appear to conduct just fine, not sure what is up with them... Found it all pretty odd.

Haha, I got most of my travel claims about two years after the fact in the Marines. Paper pusher military guys suck at pushing those papers most of the time.

and yep I can't remember if they were $10 or $12 at walmart. Cheapest set they had.
