    Too many to list now.
I'm with you on this one oz. What's a day when you've got eternity? I'm not worried about it at all. It's interesting, I was just thinking about this today, that if heaven is actually more real than earth, then all we know is mere shadows of what it will be. It's fun to think about when you really start letting that sink in. Not like matrix-y or anything, but you get the idea. You may not agree with it, and that's fine too, for those who care to hear my answer, there you have it.

Thanks very much buddy! I appreciate it. You know, I had a bad accident back in 2006. I was on my way to work on my trusty Buell XB9R. same route I had taken for over a year. This one day, a dumb ass on a cell phone pulled out in front of me. I spent 8 months rehabbing from that. despite full riding gear, I broke my back in 5 places, broke all of my ribs, both shoulders and both legs. I busted my spleen and bruised my heart as well. It was back then, as I lay in a bed helpless that I really started to appreciate life and realized just how fragile we really are and how quickly it can be taken away. My wife spent the night in the ER with me holding my head in her hands and talking to me to keep me here. Since that night, I have cherished every moment that I have been given on this planet. That, sir is why it is very easy for me to face this cancer head on, with a smile on my face and a positive attitude. There is no other way to attack this.

There is just too much in life to enjoy to just sit down and wait on death. Hell no! Death will have to earn every second of its victory when it comes for me. :D

People like you give people who have not starred at death in the face like me inspiration to love every moment that life has to offer and accept whatever comes my way no matter the trial.

Life is very fragile, I agree, It can be taken away from anyone, young or old in moments. Which is why everyone who I meet I try and leave a mark in their life of that one happy go lucky guy who wouldn't let anything bring him down. Thats me. :)

God bless you Nick, he is watching over you.

my thoughts are with you man

    grab life by the balls

I lost a few good friends this year, to various reasons. Because of this, being as young as I am, and almost kicking the bucket a few times myself, I have a completely different outlook on life. (compared to when I was almost like mr "I JUST WANNA DIE GOING FAST")

It's amazing how everything looks with a different attitude

I'm not religious, and won't attack anyone else for being so; but I can really see how comforting truly believing would be

I agree, I am only 23 myself, very young still. I have faced a couple moments which could have been fatal (4 alone on a street bike I used to own. No it was not my fault, I got rid of it for that very reason) and have lost more then my fair share of akin and friends alike after Y2K hit, my outlook on life has turned a full 180*... I am not religious myself but I am very inner spiritual and I do believe that there is a god up there watching over all of us and he ultimately has control over our destiny, I am comforted myself in just believing alone. Life is just too short to be bitter, I have watched the last 10 years of my life fly by me in the snap of my fingers and I intend to live my life out to the fullest each and every day with a smile on my face and as carefree as possible. I found this is the secret to living a beautiful life.

Something that big/final is a bit ominous and I would like to live as long as I can help the next guy. Being a christian man, there is a peace to it all. If my belief is right, I'm in good shape. If my belief is wrong, still haven't lost anything. Pretty wife, daughter in college, good family/friends, successful career serving others, and a nice tacoma. Not looking for life to end, but confident it will be okay when it does.

I withdraw my "hell yes, I'm afraid of dying" statement (post # 102). After reading the above quoted text, I now understand there are worse things then death. Anyone have Dr. Jacks office number?

Death is inevitable, so I don't think anyone should really be afraid of dying. But seeing as I am 16, I'm scared as hell of dying too soon, ya know. Still gotta experience college, after college--the ups and the downs, a family, and of course paying off my own tacoma

being stuck in the water along a cliffline lined with jagged a'a rock, with 10-12' swells crashing into said a'a, and a strong undercurrent does wonders for your outlook on life.

I almost drowned in a lake... twice. Same lake, for that matter. Shifted my outlook a bit.
