I hear ya and Im not encouraging anything dangerous nor saying break any laws. We have a lot of back roads up here in AK and roads that are completly empty. Im not saying head out to the highway and let her rip lol bad idea. Its bad enough it seems like everytime it snows ppl have to learn how to freakin drive again.

I thank you for your concern. I guess I shouldve been a little more specific talking about which roads I was on. Until this past summer we have had a few new sub divisions that were nothing but paved roadways and land plots so the roads were paved and I guess technically public if you will but it was like being in an empty parking lot. You could see everything and all you drift around are the curbs and little islands that had been put in. But it wasnt like we were messing around with some bild corners and whatnot. And if someone were to be in the area you would see them before they even turned into the subdivision from the main road. So not as dangerous as some may have thought. Sorry for the confusion.

^^^^^^Didnt want to be that guy. hahaha. Anyways back to the topic it is very fun but again its hard to get used to after having the luxury of driving a manuel for the past three years. And well AWD and being able to truly turn off traction control prolly helped lol.

Sounds like you've never seen real snow down there in phoenix?

To answer the question, yes I do in empty lots, not on the streets though. 4hi is freaking awesome for drifting if it's super slick.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I bomb through drifts, but not much for drifting, I save that for my atv which is much easier and less likely to flip.

Only if I know the lot. I once went into an unknown lot and completely drove over about 5-6 parking curb stops. I was driving straight not in a drift.

Back in high school I was whipping drifts around a white Tahoe at the mall. That Tahoe happened to explode in blue flashing lights. Cops got out and said "your doing it wrong....go someplace else" then showed us up.

Why would you even ask this if you are going to do it anyway? Seeking attention or an audience. Come on ha. In saying that, if you do decide to do it just be careful. Don't endanger others. I know you are smarter than that though.

Before reading this I was pretty sure every man who has a rear wheel drive vehicle does this. Why else would there be a button to turn the traction control off?

    (BTW, I'm 38 years old)

Go for it. Have 3-4 buddies hang on the rear bumper to see who can hang on longest. It's called bumper-hitching. They all put some money in a pool and whoever hangs onto the bumper longest wins.
