    psh, driving...... I put my truck on the train, and am now sitting in a lounge chair on the upper level of the passenger car. hiking to have a nice scenic trip up the coast, and I get to drink beer and surf tw for the next 16 hours :cheers:

    Passenger ticket + vehicle ticket + " oversized vehicle" charge = $256. Pretty much the same as what fuel would cost, except that 2 meals, snacks, and a movie are included in the price...... and it's 900 miles I don't have to put on the truck

    Sanford, fl to lorton, va and vise versa. Google "auto train, Amtrak". They are smart though, the train is more crowded on the southbound trips in the winter because of the snowbirds. They increase the ticket price accordingly. I do highly recommend it though. I love traveling by train, and it doesn't get more convenient than the valet driving your truck up to you in the morning after a good night's sleep.
