I'll be honest Evan, I'm not close to anyone in that region, nor do I have kids of my own but that shooting shook me. I'm at that age and point in my life where having kids isn't in the terribly distant future and I can't imagine feeling what those parents felt/and will feel for the rest of their lives. This is just all around a horrible, horrible situation.

I can't wrap my head around that incident. What could possibly drive someone to slaughter innocent children? Let alone anyone for that matter in the way the shooter did. It's scary and rather sobering to think that anyone you see walking down the street has the potential to do something so heinous.

Nope, just had to expedite things because I installed two lifts that day (assisted in Jon's lift) and I fought with a seized mount for the rear shock. Had to torch that fucker off of my axle

Precisely. I started tearing up seeing those parents faces and knowing that they will never get to say goodbye to their child again. It's terrible! I'm like 8+ years from kids, but Sarah is studying to be a social worker and I'm studying to be a psychologist. I just don't get why you would take it out on little kids? If you're so angry at the world, kill yourself! Don't end 26+ their families lives! I hate the world.

Same here. I have little brothers and sisters that age, and I too teared up seeing this shit and called my parents to talk, it's fucking devastating to say the least, my siblings mean the world to me, if someone took them from me and then killed themselves, they better hope I don't go to hell, as I would hunt them down and show them what an eternal life of pain and suffering is like.

I'm seriously considering home schooling, but then again, this doesn't happen often, and you could die any minute, so I don't know.. We'll see how everything is when it's time for kids

    It just sucks

I love kids but not having any. Just a wife and that's it. It will never be a hallway.

i will not homeschool my kids. i hated school and all ways had a hard time. so my parent home schooled me in 8th and 9th grade. it sucked not being in classes with other kids and meeting new people and just socializing. for how often this stuff acutely happens at schools(it does happen but not all that often at a school.) IMHO sending them to a public school or even privet school will be much better for the kid in the long run with live skills.

I liked private school a lot more than my public elementary school. Woot Austin Prep lol.

Thinking about home school, I don't have the patience or attention to do that. I'd rather pony up some cash and have other people do it, and allow my kids to socialize and play sports and stuff.

I'm too old for kids, but the first thing I thought of was my sister's 3 kids (ages 9, 7, 6). Unreal...

As I get older I have become more cynical and don't really trust people. A few weeks ago a car pulled in my driveway I didn't recognize when I was working in my garage. I didn't pay it any mind because I'm the first house people see on my street so people turn around if they are lost. But the car just sat there. I walk outside thinking maybe the person is lost or needs some kind of help and asked if they were okay. 2 people in their early 20's or so and one said with an attitude "what do YOU want?" Well, what I want is to know why you're parked in my driveway..for all I know they're doing a drug deal or something.

I just can't really talk about the shooting thing right now, I'm too disturbed.

OK so lets see who's going RI wheeling tomorrow. We'll start a list.

Very bad idea to flash a weapon. If I remember correct it is considered assault
