Welcome to TW TEAMJM. I am an old fart and like chrome. However I would have the side steps and the mirror covers either anodised or powder coated black, I would leave the badges chromed FTW.

Very sweet Tacoma you have there.

Thanks for the warm welcome 95SLE :)

On my mind, i was basically taking out the chrome side mirror and door handles and basically leaving the badges chromed. Will think about the side steps thanks!

Nice ride teamjm! That should fan the flames of diesel Hilux envy here a bit.

Anyway... New wheels, tires, and TPMS yesterday:

Michelin LTX M/S2 in 265/70-16. Wider, but no taller than stock. Looks a little beefier without messing up the speedometer:

    [IMG] [IMG]

New TPMS from eBay. Seller was great and at $162 for 4, a lot cheaper than the stealership.

Why is the hood scoop off centered? OCD senses tingling... :twitch:

    That would drive me nuts...

Other than that, that Hilux looks sweet:D

The flux capacitor is more towards the passenger side and needs more air flow to work properly.

I believe that scoop is functional, and it is placed where it is because of how the engine sits in the bay.

Am I the only one who thinks the modern Hilux is kinda Ugly? I much prefer the looks of the Tacoma.

    But that Diesel... droooooool

I like the look of our Tacomas better, but I think that Hilux still looks pretty good.
yeah... I guess I already knew why when I asked, haha. I was more asking why the hell Toyota didn't just lengthen the air intake tube or something to make it centered. haha
