Well...the process of "feathering" anything that day was just not happening. After our Taco Bell dinner, I managed the "feather out" a few air biscuits, but that's about it. Thanks for the compliment on the truck color. I'm really liking her overall look, especially after de-badging. With the window tint and "no-I.D. Look" body, I've been approached by the CIA to run decoy interference for them up here on their undercover surveillance missions in the N. ID.
Just Kidding! But she is rather stealthy looking. As an aside on the install: Adam managed to get the UCA's dialed in pretty well as far as alighnment goes, as my subsequent driving has yielded no shimmy or pulling to either side. Will still get an alignment though, for sure to be on the safe side.

Big props to Adam! That is going the extra mile and having a good time doing it! I live the truck as well! We have done two double cab long beds at work with full icon lifts and the look is amazing. Those top bolts can be quite stubborn, I know. But they can be taken out with out being cut. Lol. But that may have taken the job another few hours. Lol. We charge 3.5 hours at the shop to do front coilovers and UCA's. Sometimes the tech wins and makes time and sometimes the clock wins and he looses time. Lol. So far every truck has been a bit different. But I can say that the inside fender curvature is different on the '05-'11 and the '12+. Just a tad wider on the new one.

I didn't cut my UCA bolts, but I did have to bend the inside of the fenders with a pickle fork to make room for the bolts to come out.

On a side note, my wife is out running this weekends snow. Oregon is supposed to get snow until Tuesday. Well it started snowing in Beaverton shortly after she left I guess and it wasn't snow in The Dalles when she went through but I just checked the weather and it says it is now. She is somewhere near Pendleton now.

When we were sizing up the bolt situation, Adam said we could get them out if we:
    A. Possibly took off the front grill (which we had already jacked up the front end, taken off the front wheel and the front of the truck was up against the storage rack in the garage, leaving zero room for grill removal, unless we put the wheel back on, opened the garage door, backed out the truck, keeping garage door open, and being even more cold!
    B. Cutting/bending fender well as mentioned above.( new truck and my A.R. sez...go to plan C.)
    C. Call around, find some bolts and cut the old ones out.
My decision was call around and look for bolts...and in hind sight, I have no qualms on that.

Blah blah blah "we didn't cut the bolts." Who cares, I cut them and it worked out great. I didn't cut the bolts on when I did my UCAs but it was a bitch to get them out.

Tim the truck looks great, and makes me almost miss mine!
