I am not holding my breath but maybe there is hope.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...ng-nhl-lockout-end-within-214215098--nhl.html

Gareth Chalmers is an agent in the U.K. and the owner of 9 Hockey Management. On his Twitter feed Wednesday, he wrote about some conversations he's had with teams in Europe about the locked-out NHL players on their rosters and … well, try not to get your hopes too high.
"I have been talking to a number of teams on the continent today who have NHL guys on their rosters. It seems that quite a few of them have been told by their NHL agents today, to get ready to return within the next week. One GM told me today that a contact of his in the NHL had advised that they are now looking at 2nd January restart."

At this point, no matter how many articles and tweets and such that I read, I realized that all I can do is just cross my fingers and hope that everyone can come together and just play the damn sport

There are several other quality hockey leagues icing games as we speak. If you want to watch hockey, watch hockey.

Not in my area. We don't have the o, and I can't afford to pay to get it broadcasted down here, the only echl teams near me are 2+ hours away, men's league around here is horrible, and youth travel hockey down here is not good either. The only junior team around me is the tampabay jr's(yes that's the name) and they aren't very good either. And I sure as hell am not paying to watch some team in the AJ play on fasthockey.

So honestly around me, we really don't have any decent hockey.

Not to come off like a dick, but that's just the way it is. And besides I play in all the pickup games and men's league games that I can :D

Not on my network. I'm stuck watching old games from past years. :(

Hockey isn't as popular among US residents as it is in Canada. US residents prefer Honey Boo Boo and Housewives of NJ to any actual sport that involves skill.

I plan on moving to Canada and becoming a citizen if not duel citizen before retirement.

I do not feel like spending my final days in the derp like where I live now and I would also like to not spend my life savings on overpriced poor medical care.

Ditto. Much prefer this to watching anyway.
lol, we aren't being shown nearly as many junior level games as we should be either. We are are getting some however. Personally I really like the quality of the games. Perhaps once the NHL season is officially cancelled the networks will fill out their programming with more games.
The way the kids are coached in combination with their skill and fitness makes for some very dynamic games. There is little no no drop off in viewing quality next to an NHL game on an average night imo.

This! It really is sad that the best sport in the world doesn't even have ratings near to those stupid shows like jersey shore.

That whole having 2 passports thing is pretty cool. :D Hopefully when I'm out of university I can be up there, preferably west, in mountains. LOL.

I can't give anymore attention to this poorly run beer league soap opera bullshit of the lockout. After the shooting today that makes international headlines these genious league officials come up with the great idea of submitting a press release on the basis of bringing the NHLPA to court. Couldn't wait till Monday I guess.

If there was some kind of hockey on tonight that would be an out to take a break from a shitty day like today. It's okay, keep fighting over money you don't have enough.

If anyone has trouble sleeping tonight give this a read you should be out by page 5. Forty three pages of nonsense:

Watched some of the Miami U. vs. Ohio U. game last night. It was not so great. The OHL is a far superior league, it would appear.
