x2 man. the whole situation sucks, I have little brothers and sisters that age, if someone ever did this to them that person had better hope that if they kill themselves, I don't go to hell when I die. I would hunt them the fuck down, and show them what an eternal life of pain and suffering feels like. i'd be lying if I told you I haven't teared up over this.

how else does the kid get them? couldn't have been that secure.

growing up, my dad had guns in the house (police chief), locked in a closet, and locked in a hope chest. then had gun locks on them. key was nowhere to be found by me nor my sister. to this day, idk what he does with the keys, and my little brother (8) and sister (5) certainly do not either.

he shot his mother. with a gun from HER house. they weren't that secure dude. they would be locked up tighter than a tic's ass if that were my house, let alone with a kid that had problems like that.

Hard to face after yesterday's events, but we all have to really TRY not to worry about our kids like this. I'm not diminishing who we are as parents, what Im trying to convey is that before yesterday, that kind of thought didn't obsess with us. Now it is.

It's driving is crazy. It's scaring us. It's making us look at others suspiciously because the shooter showed no signs of hate toward children or the school.

It's that Adam, how ever tormented he was...he's continuing to terrorize us. Don't let him do that. Do not allow him to. We have to be strong. We can't let our kids see how scared we are. We must be careful, cautious and alert as usual but don't let our children see our fear. They depend on us to be their strength. We cannot show our weakness or they will not feel secure. We MUST not.

It's hard but we have to be strong. For the kids.

If some ones to kill some one...Its gonna happen regardless of how they get those weapons or knife or what ever he wants to use......If they are seriously trying to kill someone or mass amount of people its going to happen.....The question is How can we Prevent This from happening?............And removing the 2nd amendment isnt going to solve it.......Black-market is still going to be there. Security measures whether Teachers can have weapons or Each school has Police officers Patrolling........Cant blame the mom Really hell she lost her life in all this too.

    Too many to list now.
That dude has got some really good foundations to be able to say what he did there. That is what an exemplary parent looks like. Definitely has his priorities straight. We've been encouraging families to pray together for the affected loved ones and just the nation in general. I'm hosting our annual children's ministry christmas party tonight and we're going to have a moment of silence for the loss of some of God's creation. It's a terrible thing what happened to them.

He is quite a strong father, being able to address the public like he did, I am sure his daughter was just as strong as her father, may she rest in peace.

There isn't a way to detect when a madman is going to finally go that final step and act on whatever it is driving him. This is a really sad situation, my heart breaks for all those families.

I agree with this. Many people with mentally ill family members say that it is very difficult to get the help they need. That needs to change. This world will always be full of tools to cause harm, we need to focus on preventing these tragedies directly from the source.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Just heartbreaking, parents shouldn't have to bury their kids. I'm not even a father and can't comprehend what I would do in a situation like this, life would just be empty forever.

I'm not sure if I would refer to the shooter as "a kid"...he's 20 years old.

It's definitely is very sad and I give the father credit for being able to speak in front of a crowd like this so soon after the incident.
