All you guys with the fancy electronics, are your other buttons to the left of the steering wheel lit up when the lights turn on or only when activated?

Thanks, exactly what I needed to know

I tried to get clever when I wired my heated mirror switch and use one of the unused connector's illumination wires to light up my new switch. I pulled the pins out of that connector and plugged them into my connector. They light up when the truck's lights are initially turned on but then go out once the truck is warmed up and won't light up again. I used one of the lower level switches. Back to the drawing board, so much for my bright idea

The heated mirror switch that I put in??? Or the one that controls the direction of the mirrors? My mirror switch doesn't light up either.

    Was one of the 2:

    1) Cut the shit
    2) Die before age 30

A little easier in that perspective :)

Plus it got old having a good job and never having any $$. Mind you I lived at home and my only expense was car insurance..I was drinking $400 a week like clockwork.

Pissing off my parents wasn't fun either..

Feb 02 I thought I had a heart attack at 3am. EKG was fine but they pulled blood and I was .34 after not having a drink for 4 hours.

May 02 I should have got busted..was in a drive-thru line. Cops just towed my car and called me a ride home. Nice Mother's Day present.

Cracking up my car and getting the drunk driving wasn't fun, plus my parents telling me GTFO.

Need to sort out an issue. My starter bogs down quite a bit when starting. I'm thinking its because my battery was completely discharged in the cold a few times and I haven't taken a long trip yet with the new alternator to charge it up.

I'm also suspicious of my starter itself because I'm sure it was submerged in the water when I flooded my truck. Maybe it's effed up?

I'll go to autozone and have them test my battery.

I sure do hope this problem is free/cheap to fix.

I plan on a dual battery setup as my next mod. I need the cranking power more than ever

Check the code on it if you haven't already..my hunch is you may still have the original battery. If so, don't even mess with testing..just replace it. That puts it at 7 yrs plus the damn things die more often in the cold weather.
