    did not really look at the width.
    nice. i’m thinking about getting a soft topper.(no windows so it will hid stuff better)

    you going to be able to fold it down and not take it all way off the truck?

    also how wide does the rack measure? i may end up building something around mine at some point.

    I'll take some measurements tomorrow. I can fold the topper down, or remove it completely ( un bolting the rails the rack sits on and slide the whole unit out ) under the bed rack. I also added a Hi-Lift mount on the passenger side and will do a mount for my sand ladders on the driver.

    Also keep in mind my rack is wider due to the bike rack rails mounted on both sides:

    and lt looks really good. i’m looking to buy a welder and build a roof rack. but i also think if i really get into off roading the taco and don’t buy a old toy, i may build a bed rack. mostly to mount more stuff that i may use on a trail or something.(like hi lift, i would like to keep it as low as i can for ease of use and getting to on trails.
